6 Signs It's Time to Break Up With Your Kitchen Blender

Let's be honest, some of us are in a toxic relationship with our blenders. We keep holding on, thinking they will get better but instead, the reverse is the case.

Here are six signs it's time to let go:

  1. The Motor is Slow: It's no longer as fast as it used to be but instead, it takes a longer time to blend. Instead of 1 minute, it takes 7 minutes and still doesn't give you the required result.

  2. Inconsistent Blending: A good blender gives you a smooth blend all the time but once you notice it's leaving you with chunky smoothies, lump-filled blends etc, it's time for an upgrade.

  3. It has mood swings: Some days it's working and most days it doesn't work at all. If your blender has more mood swings than your ex, then it's time to have a rethink.

  4. It's loud enough to wake the neighbours: All blenders make noise, but excessive rattling, grinding and screeching noises could mean the motor or blade assembly is on its last leg.

  5. It smells like trouble: once your blender begins to smell like burning rubber or plastic while blending, the motor could be overheating or dying and it's not even safe for you. If care is not taken, it can lead to fire hazard.

  6. When you are not using the Vic-sode Blender in 2025: If you're not using the Vic-sode Blender in 2025 then it's time for an immediate upgrade. How are you comfortable blending for hours in batches when you can blend to perfection in the 2L or 5L Vic-sode Blender?

If your blender falls into any categories listed above, then it's time for an upgrade 😉
